February/March Birthdays

Seven birthdays were celebrated this weekend during our trip to Indy -- Patrick Kenney (3/13), Patrick McNulty (3/9), Molly Hadley (3/22), myself (3/12), Carissa McNulty (2/22), Jenny Braun (2/24) and Cory McNulty (3/21) as pictured. Whew! Mom made an awesome lasagna dinner to celebrate, and kids and adults both had a great evening. Saturday afternoon we took the older two cousins, Morgan and Patrick, to Beef and Boards to see "Aladdin". The story line was a bit complicated, and in hindsight I probably should have had Patrick watch the movie before seeing the play...but it was still a great production. We are already planning to see "The Little Mermaid" in the fall. Brian and I even got a chance to escape again for another late movie last night. Too bad I fell asleep. In the theater. :)

As always, the time flew and we were happy to say that we will be back in a few weeks over spring break for more fun times.

Tumbling

Tonight Lucy and I joined her friend Audrey Fisher for the Mommy and Me tumbling class. Lucy was pretty excited about her leotard, but had no idea what she was going to be doing in it. She is a pretty shy child, so I was surprised to see her excitement and participation this evening. She loved all the stations, with the trampoline being the most intimidating, and kept saying "Do it again, do it again!". We practiced somersaults, back flip-overs, and cartwheels. And we were excited to show Daddy and Patrick all that we learned when we got home. Looking forward to next week!

Play date!

We have been having fun playing with our preschool friends! Patrick's "best friend" is a little girl named Aubree and we have gotten together twice with Mom's and kids for a fun morning. Yesterday, we invited a little boy named Camden over to play after school. It was interesting for me to see the difference in play between the two friends. I think Lucy was pretty intimidated by the noise level with the boys yesterday, wheras Aubree seems to calm Patrick down. Funny how women at any age have that effect :) Patrick and Camden will be in the same class next year, and continuing on together thru Resurrection, so it wouldn't be a bad thing if these two struck up a friendship.

Chores

This is a picture of Lucy's set dinner table, which she pretty much did herself when handed each item from the counter. Not too bad :) This is her "chore", in addition to helping gather and load laundry into the washer and dryer. Patrick is our vacuumer and he also does dishes. Both kids help clean the bathroom -- they love to get their own sponge with Ivory soap and go to town on the tub. I'm trying to capture these moments so I can refer back to them in 10 yrs or so and say "See how much you used to like helping us?"
