This must be how Emeril feels...

This is how the kids wanted to be positioned when I was making dinner tonight. Kinda pressuring, actually.

One year later....

Looking back, it is hard to imagine that this is the weekend last year that Lucy was admitted to the hospital with viral pneumonia. Probably the longest and most stressful week of our lives as parents thus far, watching our 10 week old daughter battle. It was the week that Lucy earned our pediatrician's award for "sickest baby of the season". Not something you strive for. Hard to imagine that this very active, intelligent, sweet toddler was that sick infant! She's a fighter, proving that time and time again in the past 14 months. Happy Valentine's Day!

All better!

Lucy had her follow up today with the orthopaedic surgeon and OT -- all better! Over the past two weeks, we managed to keep the splint until the very end and Lucy has finally started walking. No doubt prompted by the difficulty in putting weight thru her hand.

Patrick finally parted with the last teeny nub of his pacifier, tenderly called "dap-dap", which he had been literally holding only for bedtime for the past several months. In exchange, a toy John Deere skid steer. We picked out some big boy underwear - Thomas the Train, of course - so here we go in achieving the next challenge!
